Fall Equinox: Finding Balance

In a time of change, support yourself

The Fall Equinox, which falls on Thursday, September 22 this year, is a day of the year when the hours of daylight equal the hours of the night. Fall is a time of harvest, reaping the bounty of all that you have sown in the Spring and Summer months. As a time of change in seasons, it can also come with a feeling of overwhelm; it can feel as though there is more to do than there are hours in the day, and it all needs to be done NOW.

I encourage you to slow down and appreciate the last warm days before we pull out our stored sweaters, scarves, and hats; enjoy the changing colors of the leaves and see what's blooming right now (lots of goldenrod in my backyard!). Protect an hour sometime this week to reflect on how you feel, notice the changes happening in nature, and think about what you need to support your health in this moment. Take a walk, have a cup of tea, write or draw in your journal, talk to a valued friend who you haven't seen in a while. All of the opportunities we take to reconnect to ourselves, nature, and loved ones support our feelings of belonging, compassion, and peace, and help us appreciate the abundance of this life.

As a special gift to support you during this change of seasons, you can enjoy $10 off the regular price ($55) of your Initial Personal Health Consultation using code "fall10" at checkout when you book by October 31.

If I've already done a health consultation for you, please pass on this code to any friends or family who you think would benefit from my personal advice on herbs to support their wellness.

Happy Fall Equinox!

~Rita
